Day 04: Wuhan Floods

Today we made managed to make our way to Wuhan which has been suffering from severe flooding the past few days, exploring the ways that the city and its people have been reacting to and dealing with the heaviest flooding since 1998. Unfortunately we have to re-route to Beijing and do parts of the Yellow River as the rain has frozen transportation links between Wuhan and Chongqing, with some questioning the legitimacy and effectiveness of the Three Gorges Dam, designed to prevent these natural disasters (China’s Sorrow).
